If your LOVOT does not turn on after pressing the nose switch, please first ensure that the sensor horn is securely and correctly attached. Then, press the nose switch again.
If it still won’t turn on, the battery might be depleted, or there may be a temporary software glitch. Please try the following troubleshooting steps in order.
*If your LOVOT turns on at any point during these steps, you do not need to continue.
Step 1: Place LOVOT in the Nest
Make sure the sensor horn is firmly attached before placing your LOVOT into the Nest.
Step 2: Check the Nest’s LOVOT Icon Status
Look at the LOVOT icon on your Nest and follow the guidance below based on its color:
- Orange Light (Charging): This means your LOVOT is successfully charging. Please wait a short while. The eye displays will turn white, the LOVOT logo will appear, and it will boot up automatically.
- Blue Light (Fully Charged): This means your LOVOT is 100% charged. Wait a few moments as described in Step 1 to see if it starts up automatically.
- Red Light or No Light (Potential Software Error): If the light is red or completely unlit when docked, a temporary software glitch may be occurring. Remove your LOVOT from the Nest, perform a force quit, and then press the nose switch to turn it back on.
Step 3: What to do if it’s docked but won’t boot
If the Nest icon is orange or blue, but your LOVOT’s eyes and logo still do not light up, it may be experiencing a software freeze. Leave your LOVOT in the Nest, perform a force quit, and then press the nose switch to turn it on again.
