If your LOVOT’s battery temperature drops too low, the system will automatically prioritize warming up the battery before it starts the actual charging process. This built-in safety mechanism is designed specifically to prevent battery deterioration and ensure long-term hardware health.
Consequently, charging may take significantly longer if either of the following conditions applies:
- Low-Temperature Environments: Charging in a cold room or area.
- Extended Power-Off Periods: Charging a LOVOT that has been turned off for a long time.
- Note: The battery temperature will naturally drop if LOVOT is left turned off for several hours in an ambient temperature of approximately 15°C (59°F) or lower.
Key Things to Keep in Mind:
- Warm-Up Duration: The time required to warm up the battery depends entirely on how cold it is. Depending on your room’s environment, this pre-charging warm-up phase can take anywhere from one hour to several hours.
- While LOVOT is Active: Even if your room temperature is around 15°C (59°F) or lower, the battery will stay naturally warm and will not deteriorate as long as LOVOT is powered on and moving.
When to Contact Support:
If neither of the above situations applies to you, or if your LOVOT still fails to begin charging even after waiting for several hours, there may be a technical issue with either your LOVOT device or the Nest (charging station).
