CRITICAL RISK NOTICE

If LOVOT is classified as a communication device by Malaysian Customs, the following strict regulations and heavy taxes will apply:

• Import Tax: 20% to 30% of the product value.
• SST (Sales and Service Tax): 10%.
• SIRIM Import Permit: You (the recipient/importer) must obtain an official import permit approved by SIRIM (Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) before the shipment arrives. The permit fee is typically around MYR 100 to MYR 250 (approx. USD 20 to USD 50).

Penalties for Non-Compliance:

Failure to meet these customs requirements is considered a regulatory violation. This can result in penalty customs duties of up to three times the product’s value. Furthermore, return shipments to Japan are often strictly prohibited, meaning unclaimed packages will be permanently disposed of after 30 days.
