Please note that for shipments to the Czech Republic, packages cannot clear customs without the active cooperation of the recipient.
All B2C (Business-to-Consumer) shipments are subject to formal customs clearance, which includes import duties, Value-Added Tax (VAT), and carrier service charges.
To successfully clear your LOVOT, all individual recipients must complete a mandatory web form provided by the customs authority or courier, attaching the following information:
- Ad Hoc EORI Number: A temporary personal identification number that individuals must obtain directly from the Czech Customs Authority’s official website.
- Email Address
- Detailed Description of Contents: Written strictly in the Czech language.
- Proof of Payment: Such as a bank transfer receipt, credit card statement, or PayPal confirmation.
- Power of Attorney (POA): Authorizing the courier to act on your behalf.
Important Delivery & Payment Notes:
- Duties and VAT: All taxes and fees must be prepaid online to DHL or paid in cash directly upon delivery.
- Corporate Recipients: If you are purchasing under a business name, an ad hoc EORI number is generally not required, as registered corporations typically already hold a permanent EORI number.
If you are familiar with cross-border e-commerce, please ensure you secure your ad hoc EORI number in advance and respond promptly to any emails or notifications from DHL.
